Ambient mixtapes and all good things

So you blink and a month goes by. There have been various things happening in the world of NY Conversation over the last couple of weeks, none of which unfortunately have involved posting anything here. I need a secretary. But anyway, first, there’s a month of DDD columnry to be rounded up…

- Why Damien Hirst is a colossal masturbator

- What Gottfried Helnwein’s creepy images say about America’s cultural infantilism; and

- How embroidery can be kinda freaky

And there’s also a column I wrote for Flavorpill collating an essential ambient mixtape. This will hopefully be a monthly thing, which isn’t gonna finance purchasing an apartment just yet, but is fun to do and keeps me busy. Everyone should view this, a) because I think it’s good and b) I get paid more the more hits it gets. Click on the nice photo of Brian Eno to listen:

The last few month has also included a trip through the Midwest with Of Montreal and a journey into the Deep South, which in a half-hearted attempt to build suspense will appear here over the next couple of days. That’s right! Don’t touch that dial!
